Cochrane Leatherworx Co. does not have a storied history that harkens back to an eighteenth century family of leathercrafters from the Highlands, but rather to an eighteenth century reenactor who found that he had a particular penchant for the craft.

What is now Cochrane Leatherworx Co. began as a wee leather shop at a Renaissance Faire that specialized in historical leather reproductions for the costumed patron. After a while, the founder and his sons, turned it into a family business.

Today, we aim to provide the highest quality pieces that take a turn from the modern, manufactured belts and accessories you might find elsewhere. Our pieces are handmade, a little rustic, and with a lot of character. You’ll be reminded of a time when the leather was made to be worn daily, and was made to last.
